How to obtain Certificate of Origin?
Have any of you had any luck obtaining a Certificate of Origin for you car? I am shipping my car to Europe and would basically be able to save the import taxes if I can prove that the car was originally manufactured in the EU.
I just called Porsche NA but was told that they don't (and never will) issue a CO - which seems kind of strange to me. Also wrote an email to Porsche in Germany but am not holding my breath for a fast response...
This is not be confused with the Certificate of Authenticity which I believe is a very different document.
My car is a 2001 Boxster S
