Default Dash Bubble Repair

I had some large raised areas on my dash (bubbles) that needed to be fixed.
I contrived the following procedure, using an 18g 1 1/2" hypodermic needle and Elmer’ s Glue-All multi-purpose glue. First I cut the glue (1:1) with water to get it thin enough so I could load the hypodermic needle. Then I made a small (approximately 1/8”) slit crosswise, in the middle of the main bubble (measured length wise), then inserted the needle both directions and injected copious amounts of glue. I worked the glue so it entered all the raised areas.

I rubbed and rolled the repair site periodically with a 4" soft rubber roller for several hours but there seemed to be no inclination for the glue not to hold quickly and well. The small razor cut is visiable but not objectionable. It would probably disappear with a tiny application of a dash repair patch or the heat from the sun may let the vinyl relax over time.

If you want to see the before and after pics and the repair "kit", I will email them as I'm not sure if I can attach them on this site.
