Default radar in Spain and rest of Europe

Anyone know if the Passport SR7 radar detector will work in Spain and the rest of Europe? I have heard that Spain has a different frequency of radar than the U.S. If this is the case, is there a stealth model that works in the E.U.?

Be careful, the use of radar detectors is illegal in most European countries.

In France it can be very expensive and they can hold your car until you pay the fines !!

In Germany they are discussing if they can confiscate your navigation system if it tells you where the fixed radars are.

In Finland the fines are related to your income.

Default radar in EU

I am aware of all the issues, including Finland, that's why I was looking for a model which was hidden from view. Of course, the Passsport Solo might would work without wires but I need to know about the frequency in th eE.U vs USA

http://www.radardetectors.co.uk/police_speedtraps.htm

might give you some help. It identifies which models work in the UK.

http://copradar.com/preview/xappA/xappA.html could also be useful.

In Germany they often use induction for stationary, and light bars for mobile speed traps, so you would not get much help from a redar detector. I don't know about the other countries, though.

good site for locations of fixed cameras is www.radarfalle.de, it has downloads for many navigation systems. I have no connection with this site other than a happy user.

PHP Code:
In Germany they are discussing if they can confiscate your navigation
 system
if it tells you where the fixed radars are
I thought they say these cameras are to improve safety by making people slow down, so it is a safety benefit when your navigation system tells you where the fixed radars are - or is it really a tax system....
