I was at the 'ring yesterday and went to the museum for my first time. Parked outside were a trio of Porsches, all for sale. A 928 and a couple of 996 turbos by the look of it. Price in the window of one of the "turbos" was 76,900 or thereabouts. Seemed cheap to me...
Well, it turns out that the "tuners" are moving upmarket. These were ordinary 996s masquerading as GT 2s with custom body work, wings, splitters and all. Not exactly factory looking, but one actually had a very factory looking GT2 script on the rear.
Sad really...

These were not even turbos. Just regular 996s with little or nothing in the way of engine tuning. Just a tuner's iridescent paint job and a bunch of bodywork. Must be a lot of fun having the slowest "GT2" in the world!

Haha. We call that "Kraut" over here... japan/rice, germany/sour kraut...anyways....
It really is a shame. I see jap cars everyday that are all decked out looking like there about to go into ar or something...
All that time and money could have been spent SO much wiser (IMO). But i guess to each his own...
