Default Porsche Caymen S is released

Its official....
The link to the Porsche web site..

http://www2.us.porsche.com/cayman/pcna.asp

tried to attach the pics from the news release but had a problem for some reason...

Looks pretty neat, I like the rear being different. The performance is supposed to be very quick, more hp than a Boxster S at 295 & lighter than a 911....... hmmmmmmmmm

The Cayman S will go on sale in the United States and Canada in mid January of 2006 at a price of $58,900 US.

Not bad-looking but now we have Carrera GT, Boxster and Cayman 2-seaters. I just don't see the logic. Squeeze a 2+2 in there for goodness' sake!!!!!!!!!! If BMW can do it what the heck keeps Porsche .....

Every Porsche I've ever bought has been a 2+2, it is tradition. 911; 944; 928. I just will not ever waste money on a 2+0, it makes no sense unless we're talking about an absolute supercar like the Carrera GT. And that, you only buy if you have obscenely too much money and own a BMW or Cayenne.

The pop-up rear spoiler is more elegantly done than on the Boxter. It looks nice, overall.

The new Cayman S would look real good here on my Island ( Grand Cayman Is), parked on the beach with a couple sweet island hotties, and a few Ice cold rum & cokes

Porsche has a 2+2 in the range...it's called the 911.

The Cayman is mid-engined, pretty much ruling out 2+2 - I can't think of any mid-engined 2+2 cars.

Looks pretty nice to me -- but won't be replacing my 993 any time soon!

I think the Ferrari Mondial was a 2+2 mid-engined car, but I might be wrong.
