Anyone know anything about Targa's I have found a 1997 993 with 10,000 miles on it, 6-speed they are asking $49,900 it's in excellent condition 2-owners? It seems that the price is high even with the low miles, the car checks out well.

An excellent condition 1997 Targa is a very rare car. I think between $43000 to $45000 is a reasonable price to pay, depending on its options. Good luck!

If it checks out well with a tech that knows 993's well, it has service history, and is right color for you, and you want a Targa, it seems like a great buy. Personally I would not got caught up with it being too pricy as top condition always deserves a premium, imo.
