Arrow New Supporting Vendor - Headlight Restoration

Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Greg and I'm the owner/operator of Optic1 Headlight Restoration. I operate mostly in a mobile capacity here in CT, but seeing as how I've come across a number of Porshces lately that were in need of my services and how easily these headlights can be removed, I have constructed an option for Porshce owners. Currently the only methods besides restoring the lenses yourself or purchasing a new set of headlights is to have the headlamp lens removed and replaced. Because of this I have created an alternative, the mail-in Porsche Program in the aim of offering something more durable and affordable. You can find additional information including a video of the entire process in the link. My hopes are that this service will provide something of value to the Porsche community and I look forward to serving that community.

Wow that is expensive - local shops near me charge around $100 and no need to do any shipping. Good luck.

The mail in option is for those outside of my service area. As for the cost, it's a good amount of extra work that I do for this option including the wet sanding after coating, polishing, and ceramic coating (additional steps that I take beyond the mobile option). I'm not just buffing out your headlights and putting some sort of "headlight coating" on them. I created this option for Porshce owners so that they could have a more affordable avenue than buying new headlights or having to have the lenses replaced, which can be significant. My goal is to return the headlights to you where the lenses are in a better than oem condition with a much thicker clear coat and better UV protection from future deterioration of the polycarbonate.

I just had a PPI on a 2015 Turbo S that has the LED PDLS lights. The headlights are crazed and delaminating. Same for tailights.
I was shocked that each new light assembley is over $6000, tailights are also expensive. I will not be purchasing the car but
these replacement prices are insane.

They certainly aren’t cheap. Hence why I thought this service would be of interest to the community.

Is there some reason you don't take the 996 headlights out altogether? It takes about a minute.

That was a customer I did a mobile job for at his location in a condominium parking garage. I didn’t have a table to work off of. It’s no problem to work with them on the car if necessary. It’s like they’re being held in place for me, frees up one hand. Just need to tape off to be extra safe.
