Hi all - has anyone heard from EVOMS in the last several weeks? I sent them my stock tune on April 12 and haven’t been able to get a hold (email or phone) of anyone there since then, which seems unusual because Sam was very communicative until now.
Well their website still has a blackfriday 2022 post as its main entry, Not looking too good. My last experience with them was in 2019 trying to order their aluminum oil caps and they were out of production but still had it up on their site. I did use their tune and airfilters back in 2014. But they since moved from AZ to somewhere north. Not sure if its still a fully legitimate business anymore. The website still incorrectly lists their location as Phoenix, and that stopped being the case years ago.
If you dont hear back from Sam by Wednesday I'd dispute the charge with your credit card and go with softronics.

Yeah lots of red flags there for sure. I guess they moved shop up to PNW somewhere, i think Seattle. This purchase actually started at the beginning of January. The tuning devices were out of stock, and I was ok waiting on one. He did subsequently sell me an IPD plenum to maximize the tune and other mods I have. I received both items end of March/beginning of April. Sam was very responsive (and apologetic) the whole time.
I did eventually ship him my stock tune 4-5 weeks ago, and havent heard back since, which is just so odd. No phone or email responses. Looking at past threads on this forum, this seems to be not uncommon from EVOMS. I think your suggestion of charging back the card is probably a good path forward, but still sucks. Really want this tune in particular. I'll give him a couple days. Thank you.

I'm sure softronic can account for mods. They are the official PCA club racing tuner. I dont want to speculate on Sam's business practices, but the super out of date website is a glaring red flag. I wouldn't be going to them myself anymore. Most of their products were reselling other manufacturers anyways, just go direct. Which may be why your tune is caught in developer hell if he's outsourcing the tunes now.

Hadn't thought of your last point, which very well may be the case... Appreciate your insights. I'll reach out to softronic. I'll also keep this thread updated should I hear back from Sam or anyone else at EVOMS.

Yeah, Most "tuning" companies are just middlemanning other tunes. Alot are Cobb tunes and sold as such. But I've seen several companies use those flash kits (my genius) sold as their own, but outsource to places like Hydra, which gave me an awful tune for my 955TT. There aren't alot of places that actually do Porsche tunes themselves anymore.
It looks like previous ownership left and Sam absorbed the company. I reached out to Sam during the summer and he was responsive and operating out of Seattle at the time. Not sure why it took them so long to post the news on their social channels.
I came across this… I ordered a tune in January….. had a unit shipped that was locked (Sam said there was an issue with his key), sent it back and haven’t heard back.
