Thank you for a wonderful thread especially the photos. A friend of mine recently drove his Panamera turbo out west and said he had some issues locating 93 octane gas. Was this your experience also and if so how did you manage?
Thanks

G&S - it’s never to late! Still time to do a lot of miles. I do suggest you get some instruction time at a local track, wether you plan to track the car or not. It will make the mountainous back roads so much more fun …. & safe :-) You get close to NOLA, shoot a PM.

Jimbee - not a major issue. I topped off before slipping into CA. It was close, but hit NV on fumes. The 911 will be fine with the lower octane in todays cars. If the health holds up, thinking about driving HWY 1/101 from San Diego to Or next year.

Nice to know the thread is still being seen. Nothing like memories…. no, creating memories! :-)

Yes, already making plans for some instructional track time prior to any serious road trips. My wife retires in April, and that's when we plan to begin the fun. Your thread has really turned up the "can't wait" factor. Thanks again!
