What radar detector are you guys using? I am considering Uniden R8, Escort Redline 360c with Blendmount or pull out the stops and do custom install R9 or Radenso with AL Priority for laser? Not much laser in Florida tho from what I can tell tho, pls tell me if u know different. thanx. What are you guys running?

Quite a few threads on radar here, but I’ve been running the Escort Redline. I have used Escort for many year, but this one is the best.
I may go custom one day, but always find something else I just have to have for the car :-)

Yea thanks, I should have searched. Alot of information there. I have been debating windshield mount vs custom install. I realise the ALP with the Radenso RC M is probably absolute best solution but recent estimate with 6 heads was $13K plus tax. That'll get your attention.....ha I will likely go with Redline 360c as well for now.

I recently bought the Uniden R8 after using Valentine1 for over 15 years (and the V1 Gen2 more recently). I love the Uniden. The screen and built-in GPS is great. And the R8 will work with Uniden's upcoming laser jammer system if you don't want to do the R9 install. I haven't used an Escort so I can't compare to that.

Using the R8, love it, have previously used the R7 and honestly can't tell if there's a MAJOR difference since I didn't use them concurrently for long. If you want something physically smaller, the R4 is great too, but no arrows. Using a blendmount, but going to move back to suction cups since I can get a better mounting positing and less rattles.

Well, Escort scored 9 today crossing ND. Fargo to Beach. A single false alarm. Not sure you can ask for m9re than that!

R8 as well. It has "increased my situational awareness of the electromagnetic spectrum" on numerous occasions.

Excellent. I have bought a Redline 360c as well due to reading so many great reviews and the wifi update feature. Did u pay to stay on the Escort Defender database or no? Not sure that is worth it....I think Waze would be more effective so have not done so.

Using Uniden R8 as well! I love the auto memory and k lockouts as there's so many of them. The community is very helpful as well, and there's profiles available you can download to optimize your radar detector to your area.

My car came with K40 from prior owner. I was told it was $5k but I don't know...but that must include installation.
