Cool How Many Days to Drive in the Blackforest?

Hello,

For those who have experience driving in the Blackforest in Germany, how many days would you suggest spending just exploring the the backroads?

I will be there from the end of October through first week of November and planned on spending 2 weeks driving the roads listed on the following maps. However, I'm not sure if 2 weeks is too much or too little (reading through the forums, most people tend to only spend 5 days max in the forest, so probably too much?). Weather is also a concern, if the weather is bad start of November, then I'm thinking of just doing 1 week.

I'll be alternating between driving a GT4RS and a 992 GT3.

Much thanks for any advice/experience.

Hello,
I am in Belgium but very close to Luxembourg.
I go regularly to the black forest. in your period there should not have been any snow. I regularly spend 6 days on site and I have time to do all the routes you provide. above all you have to take the ridge road named B500 from Baden Baden.

I have driven the Oppenau roads and some of the Baden-Baden roads on the map. Really nice.

Two weeks is far too long for me. 5 days is too long. I like longer trips and covering more territory. The roads usually don't exceed 100kph limits, many less than that in the forest. Yes they are twisty. I wouldn't want to be a passenger in a Porsche on windy roads for 2 weeks.

3 days in the Schwarzwald, then to Strasbourg, then up to Metz and Rheims. Or the other direction and drive to Strasbourg-Colmar-Mulhouse and end in Geneva.

Where are you flying in/out from? Stuttgart, Frankfurt or somewhere else?

Two weeks sounds like a lot. I think 3-5 days is more than enough to explore the area. Also depends on how much driving you're willing to do each day though. Even if roads are limited to 100 kph, speed traps are rare in the area so... :have fun!
