I have a 993 near Bangor, if your in Southern NB-and Im only 6'2-PM me if you're ever in the area and you can try it on for size. IMHO-having owned a 944 and 993, the 944 has infinitely more leg room-only car I ever had to move the seat forward to reach the clutch. Head room for me is not an issue, but I have a Cab and can have unlimited headroom should I desire. The seat rails in the 964 and 993 (I don't know about the later cars) can be moved back about 1 1/2". There are some threads on the 964 and 993 boards about this so you might want to do a search of them.

I'm 6'0" but my good friend shares your airspace and always marvels at the ammount of headroom he's got in my 928. Power adjustable seats in thes go ALL the way down, I feel like I'm sitting on the floor when I get in after him.

Another vote for the later 944/951. I'm 6'2 and don't even have the seat all the way back. I sit rather upright, have a minimal hassle getting in. About my only complaint is that it's a tight squeeze with a helmet on, but I don't adjust the seat for that.

I'm 6'6". I drive a '73 911 and '02 996 regularly and have driven a few 993's. All of them were comfortable for me. I occasionally hit my head on the headliner in the '73, but not often.

There is an option on the Boxster's to get the seats lowered from the factory. At 6'1", do I need this and how will this effect my 5'5" wife who will be the primary driver of this car?

I'd say it is doubtful that you would need lowered seats. Drop by a dealer and drive one. As I said, I'm 6'6" and I can drive a Boxster comfortably.

And I did'nt have any problem with the Boxster as well but my head was lightly touching the head rest... Was wondering what that option would buy me...

I'm 6'6" and I if fit in my 951 (944 turbo). I bought it last summer off of eBay without ever sitting in one. I know. I must be insane! I had to have one of these high pro cars.

Go with the 928. 6'4" 250lb. It's my daily driver and the most comfortable car I've ever owned. Including my Chevy pickups and a Lincoln Towncar. Plus they are really great car. IMHO

me and my old man are somewhere is the 6'3" to 6"4" area, me haveing a long back and him having long legs. he's owned a boxter 2 and C4S, we both fit fine (big shoulders and all) The C4S has a sunroof in it and we still both fit without any fuss. so my recomendation is don't get a sunroof and you should be ok pretty much no matter what!

I'm 6'5" and have had a '79 911SC and an '86 Carerra. No problems with either head or leg room. In fact I now drive an "ugly 996" and there is even more room in that model.

I am 6' 4" and I fit in my 993 with the 8 way adjustables. I did however, move the seats back on their mounting points about an inch. There are extra holes to mount the seats.

Good luck with whatever you end up driving.
