Thinking about taking the 911 down to Key West for a few days, any known safety/security issues?

I have not heard that Key West Florida is a dangerous place?

Although dummy's have died on the way down there recklessly passing on the long single lane road

Key West is a blast and is (or at least, was) very laid back. No known security/safety issues that I've ever heard of? Just get ready for $1 oysters, the awesome causeways, and wiggling your toes in the sand.
