GT4/Spyder/GTS 4.0 RPM on highway question
Random question for owners...bought a 2021 CGTS 4.0 PDK out of state...supposed to be at dealer in early June....thinking of driving it home instead of shipping, but am obsessing about break-in (I will keep this car for 20 years).
The primary break-in guidance (for those that believe in proper break-in) that I'll likely follow is longer trips (check) and varying engine speed, and try not to go over 4500 RPM for the first 1000-2000 miles (I'm not looking to debate whether this is correct or should be followed.....I just feel better doing it this way).
so my question-
On a highway, cruising along around 75 mph, can current owners with PDK estimate their RPM's in 7th gear?....6th gear?.....and 5th gear?
Am thinking about getting a couple of nice long drive days in home and want to vary the RPM's on the highway while at the same time trying to keep RPM's lower than 5k-
Any RPM feedback much appreciated! (yes, I'm obsessing).

For exact answers, I suggest the GT4 subforum of the 718 forum. As a practical answer, you will certainly be able to drive 75 mph under break in rpm in gears 5, 6, and 7. Maybe even in 4. In any event, it won't be a problem to vary the rpm while keeping revs in range. And, of course, you can vary speed as well.

thank you! I'm still learning my way around the Rennlist site and was unsure where to post that....appreciate the response! I'll post there....
