What would be your opinions on trading a well sorted, low mileage 944 turbo for an air cooled targa or coupe? My 1986 944 Turbo has 21,000 miles, stock, well optioned and I'm just curious if this would be a viable or even smart trade to make. I would use the car on weekends, trips, cars+coffee and not on a track. I'm basically day dreaming and have not yet found a car or owner willing to trade, yet.
Please give me your input based on driving experience, value, reliability, etc.
Ideally, a later 3.2 Targa but I'm not opposed to a 964 or 993 if possible. I love the look of the G body but would love the modern performance of a 993. I would not be interested in cabriolets and I'm certainly open to all options!
Getting hard to find a good example from the 1990's. Chances are someone has unexpectedly gone sideways down the avenue (as did I in my '81 SC.) Happy hunting, I am jealous. I need AWD and ease of loading a four year old girl. But now that you have planted 911 on my brain... Hmm, I was planning on trading my 4X truck and my wagon off on a Macan or Cayenne. Perhaps I will keep the truck and trade the wagon for a 993. My truck already smells like barf, kid would be banned from the 911 by safety police.
Forget about me. I ended up buying the only Macan for sale in my mid sized town today. It was six blocks from my house and today they dropped the price by $2,500 (consignment.) Nice, local, well kept '17 S VGM
