Default Dollar per fun factor

So I am sure many people have made threads like this but I am curious what you all say.

So lets say I can spend meh, 65k or so. The less the better.

I have a love love for the following cars but obviously cant afford them

964 Turbo
993 Turbo
993 C2S
964 C2

I was considering buying a slightly higher mileage 964 c2 and having a small project. Recently I have come to realize maybe that is a bad idea. I want a nice car to drive and enjoy.
I prefer the look of the wide body like most I guess..... (eye roll) only because I feel like that is a generic like. I do understand the narrow bodies some say handle better. year dependent

THEN!! to throw a wrench in the mix I stumbled upon something interesting yesterday. I found a 2007 cayman S for under 30k.
I was shocked to learn the kind of fun that can be had for under 30k. Also not knowing much about caymans I started researching and it turns out they are mid engine ( as I said didnt know much about them)
Talk about fun!!! for cheap!!

Originally, I thought I might want an investment car. Now im thinking about more of just a fun toy
The thought of trying to get an older car to pass emissions and so on makes me want to puke.
This is not a DD for me and im just looking for a weekend toy.

I drove a 2011 911 GTS and was superrised at how underwhelming 408 hp felt. The car just didnt seem very fast (not that the cayman did either) but the difference was the cayman seemed to have a better dollar per fun factor at 30k vs a 70k GTS. I was surprised at how easily the GTS seemed to step out of line if driving aggressive.
Then there are the usual suspects. Should I go buy a 996 turbo for cheap? Should I go buy a slightly higher mileage like 08/09 era turbo? probably could get close on my budget.
Should I consider a narrow body 993?

OR should I look at a newer 718?

SO CONFUSED!!

So here Is my question

1: what you would buy knowing what I like above if you had 65k?

2: What years cayman had the best engine?

3: is the cayman really looked down on because its not a 911?

4: is it worth it to buy a so / so 993 narrow body even if you really like the wide body because I cant afford a C2S?

5: Should I buy a 964 because it is my absolute favorite body style but afraid I will have maintenance nightmares with emissions, underwhelming power and still speedy for decent one?

I know this post is bizarre so please be gentle with the new guy. Lots to consider here and just looking to spit ball some ideas with you guys
Thanks!
