Value of Carfax? Accident on 01/2014 Carfax reports it more than a year later 06/2015 Between 01/2014 and 06/2015 the vehicle was reported as accident-free.

Good question. A Carfax accident report probably means some damage did occur. But a Carfax record without accidents does not guarantee a lack of damage.

sold high end used cars for a bit - for Porsche's, they're very valuable as most Porsche dealers report all work done.

For non P-cars, it's a crap shoot...

Sadly several dealers of high end cars have told me they don’t report repairs or any body work. The crapshoot comments are for Porsche as well.

I only buy single owner or new cars with a signed personal guarantee from the previous owner of no accident or repairs. If it does pop up at a later time and prior to my purchase date, I will sue.

If someone isn't willing to sign, walk away, there are tons of vehicles available.
