Default Center lock torque bar genius

So - getting tires changed by pros. They use the same breaker and torque wrench from precision.

however, when breaking it, they use a short extension to keep the bar AWAY from the body of the car. It offsets it by about 8-10 inches or so and makes it so much easier to not crash into the body panels.

I am not an expert by any means - but having watch many YouTube video's, and seeing how close everyone is to the fenders - and imagining one slip to a dent - when I saw the guys at the shop wrenching my wheels with an extension. It was genius. They were well away from the side of the car, and the offset just made it so much more easy for them to work. That and the fact that TWO of them carried the torque wrench around my car at all times. One at the head, one at the socket.

As I learn my new car, I am sharing as I can the "Aha" moments as I see them.
