Porsche produced this one-off prototype back in 2015 as a feasibility study to see it such a thing could be profitable for the brand.

They might have been able to make a profit on folks looking for a unique track machine? If they kept the price high and numbers really limited? Regardless, this is an interesting machine, for sure.

Exactly. I think they could have gotten away with it. Or even as a little treat to buyers built a limited number and taken a loss on them as Toyota did with LFA. Would have been an interesting little bit of motoring fun to get in one of those.
