Porsche taking over Lamborghini and Bugatti
Don’t know if this is good or not but tend to think it becomes a giant distraction

This makes sense, since Porsche has the best product and (higher volume of the group). VW does not want to make the same mistake Fiat made with Maserati and Ferrari (last Generation California specifically). Porsche has one of the best reputations in the entire automotive industry for know what they are doing, knowing their suppliers parts/business better than the suppliers know their own parts/business. I would see this as a big positive for Lambo.

I view platform and component sharing as a bad thing generally. Perhaps if isolated to things like the Cayenne and Panny (as has been the case for a while), and hybrid power train engineering then might allow for greater investment in the fun stuff (911, GT cars, lightweight materials.) Hope it doesn't distract them too much, perhaps wishful thinking.

"If this happens, Porsche would be responsible for component and platform standardization between itself and these three brands, according to reporting by Automobile."

Doubt a lot of good can come out of this, unless conformity is preferable to individuality.

It's kinda fun seeing dials from my A6 on a Bentley, Urus etc. I'd be annoyed if I look at it from a Bentley owner perspective.
