Default Checking build sheets with VIN/vinanalytics, inconsistent?

searching cars right now and using vinanalytics to check build sheets using VINs

? Any idea why some build sheets are listed as unavailable. I’d say 75% of the time it works, but random build sheets aren’t available. No discernible pattern.

? Any other resources that can show build sheets from VIN numbers

thanks

Unfortunately Porsche/PCNA has blocked the data source. Any previously decoded VINs will still be available on VINAnalytics.com. Any new VINs can no longer be decoded (for now) by VIN Analytics or anyone else. Hopefully PCNA will provide a solution but seems unlikely for now.

Update: VINAnalytics.com has been back online with live decoding since November 2018!

Thanks. That makes sense. I’m just amazed that it’s 2018 and we can’t pull build sheets for every car manufacturer. I can't see any downsides to being able to obtain a build sheet from a VIN. There’s no security risk. It saves lots of useless calls and emails to sellers and resellers. I just don’t get it.
