Default 2018 Macan GTS Before & After Dyno Results! (Two is better than one!)

We’ve had a couple of 2018 Macan GTS’s come through our shop recently that we'd love to with Rennlist! Both of these customers approached us before COBB officially released support for the 2018 Macan GTS. As soon as COBB Tuning support was released we got these customers down in our books to bring them in for some baseline and reflash dyno pulls.

It’s not very common to have an SUV on our dyno, but we do all things Porsche here at TSM; we were more than thrilled to have these customers come in so we could make them fall in love with their vehicles all over again! We currently offer COBB off the shelf maps, Protunes on our AWD Dynojet, as well as remote tuning.

COBB states that their Stage 1 OTS map on 93 provides a max power and torque (measured as the average maximum value between the highest and lowest points of two plots) increase of ~37% and ~38%. That can be seen in the graph below provided from COBB and available on our website.

On our AWD Dynojet we found that the first customer’s Macan GTS made 340awhp/442awtq. Power increase was up around 38% at 3000rpm, and torque was up roughly 34% by 3000rpm.

Our second customer’s Macan GTS made 340awhp/455awtq. Power increase was up around 25% by 3000rpm, and torque was up roughly 26% by 3000rpm.

As you can see in the dynographs above, both cars made nearly identical power. There are some slight differences in the actual powerband of these two Porsches, but variation is to be expected from OTS maps.

The first Macan GTS entered our shop with the intentions of getting protuned after living with the COBB Stage 1 map for a while, so stay tuned for future results!
