Indeed. Future and past. I grew up in my 356 - it was the car I came home from the hospital in when I was born. We took family vacations in it. I learned to drive in it. I took it to prom.

And if I could get it restored and back on the road, I'd continue with my kids...

I think Porsche knows well that the company DNA resides in the 911. They intelligently use the profits from the SUVs to build better and better sports cars. All one has to do is visit a PCA meet. Tons of 911s, a good number of Boxsters & Caymans, and a very small number of Cayennes, Macans, & Panameras.
