Not certain if this is the correct forum... hope so.
I have black leather interior with miles of Racing Yellow stitching and realizing that it might be difficult to keep the threads clean. Seems like smearing leather goop all over will gum up and discolor the brilliant yellow stitching. As I've been doing my searches I also came across the idea that I should be caring for the coating on the leather, not the leather itself... which might be a direction to keep unnecessary products off the stitching. (?)
Not wishing to obsess over my interior, just wanting to do no harm.
Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated.

Perhaps just some masking tape over the stitching while you're doing the leather?
