Default Are you CA guys putting on a front license plate?

Just bought my first Porsche and now realize there is no place for a front license plate. Did you guys add one or just take a chance and leave it off? RJ

I have had the same question as you as the mounting holes are too far apart. I have a 718 Boxster so this may not work for your car specifically.

This is a solution i am kind of thinking of doing.

I ordered the European style license plate and found that it fits in the lower section of the front bumper. I was thinking of putting on the grill set from Zunsport and attaching it to the grill. I have not ordered the Zunsport yet, but this was an idea I was throwing around.

The pic just shows it wedged into the space which i think would look good.

As for now, I'm driving with no front plates at the moment.

Hope this helps with some ideas.

Just got my 718 fitted by these guys. Check them out - by far the most slick solution for front plate. Bracket slides on and off in seconds. Have one of these on our F pace as well.

They are required by law in TX. Tow hook holder is the answer. Looks great, easy, no holes. Unscrew for track day.

Can't stand the look of a front US plate either, and have never used it. I just keep mine stashed in the car and figure I'll beg forgiveness, or lie and say the adapter bracket broke and I have no way to mount it until the new one arrives.. Fortunately, I live next to a state that doesn't require them, so I just figure they really aren't looking for one as I drive by.

I have lived in states that required front tags and never put them on; however, get the Zunnsport grills and attach to them, if you must!

I don't, though I've got a tow-hook mount at the ready to get it signed off if I get cited. Knock on wood.

No front plates here.

50 years driving (CA native) and never ran front plates on any of my cars.

Just a thing.

One ticket. Nosed in, front tight against the wall, underground Parking at John Wayne Airport, 30 years ago. No way you could see the plate not on in less you were looking at P cars front ends.

This cop had to work hard to find I was running no plate.

Still, never run front plates.
