Default 911 mechanic service question

I recently bought a 2009 911 C2 cab (my first Porsche) and am looking for a mechanic in the Studio City/North Hollywood/Burbank CA area.
How different is the service quality & expertise from the dealer vs a Porsche certified independent mechanic vs a non-certified Porsche-mechanic? Is the incremental hourly cost at the dealer worth it?

Check yelp for your area. In Pasadena there is HOUSE Automotive on Walnut St. that is really good! I take my 997.2 turbo there and have had a very good experience each time. The owner use to be a senior tech advisor at Rusnak Porsche in the mechanics I believe also came from Rusnak Porsche.
