Nice looking car. Looks like a Euro Spec with a turbo tail added. Nice 7/8 Fuchs and headlight upgrade. I assume the odometer was changed out when it was brought over? GLWS.

Hi

Got the pics….

Does it really have only 51k miles ? Wow !

Yes, only thing is the odometer stopped working the last time I had it out. So the 51k is accurate, hopefully they'll trust my integrity
A few questions came up on rennlist…

1) Do you know if the car is a euro-model ?
Yes
Someone questioned the whale-tale vs the year of the car vs Carerra name-plate. I gather the whale-tale in that year was only offered on the Turbo…or as a special order from the factory.

I believe the Carerra was added
2) Service Records

Do you have any service info from the previous owner? I don't know the boxer engines too well but for most P-cars there are specific things folks look to see have been maintained…like age of the clutch ( a clutch job on my car is almost $2k !)

I have service records from the previous owner but not from the original owner I don't think. I will go through my folder again.
3) Any oil leaks ?

A couple, very minor

I will drop my price to 22.5 only because I believe there is a bushing that needs attention in the steering column at the dash. The steering is tight as I have checked all of the components I can get too, I don't think it's a major repair and I'm going to see if I can get to it to see where the problem is. It has up and down movement at the steering wheel.

It needs gas shocks for the hood at trunk, again minor, I priced these out at less than $20 a set.

Runs great but could use a tune-up, it'll load up every now and again but I believe this is from lack of use.

Seats are power out of a 2004 Carerra, the wires just need to be run to the circuit panel. I have the original seats which I sent you pictures, the one seat has separated between the material and the leather.

That's about it

Mileage is 51k ! Pic of the odo is attached.

Car has late model Porsche power seats installed (look like they may be boxster seats) but also comes with the originals.

Interior appears to be in good shape but I am not a 911 guy....

Has an aftermarket tape deck and the tape storage console.

He's supposed to get me maint. records and other info later today.

I was correct on the asking price....$25k or best offer.
He doesn't want to let it go. I mean why would you car looks amazing.

Yep, looks like a euro seeing the side markers and the striped cloth centers on the seats. I've heard the Turbo tail was a factory option. Check the option code sticker on the inside of the front trunk lid and that will tell you if the front and rear spoilers came with the car or were added later.

Would also be interested in knowing if it's a euro or not--cool car!

I think that turbo tail is aftermarket. Too many louvers and no flat black area.

Very nice car, but way over priced in my opinion.

You can get a 87-89 Carrera with the G50 for that price.

Just my 2 cents

For what it's worth,i paid $23,000 three years ago for an excellent 89 G50 Coupe with 113,000 kms and all the options including sport seats ...
I worked with the owner who had it for ten years prior to selling it to me and it came with a stack of dealer records and invoices !

The car you are describing is more likely worth around $15,000 - $16,000 and that is only if it checks out with a good PPI ...

Just sayin ...

Cheers !

+1 I'd be surprised if you got $15k for it. Nice exterior but average interior. Too many on the market in the $12-18k range. GLWS.

Gave him some of the feedback from you folks this morning.

Will see what he says. He's also going to get the option codes for me so you can see what was/was not with the car from the Fatherland !

I think he's owned the car for about 4 years now (went to look at someone's american muscle car for sale and wound up buying the 911 the same guy had in his garage under a cover).

I suspect the asking price is based on what he has into the car more than market value.

Stay tuned

Looks like a $17-$18k car to me. Still a very nice example.

The owner is absolutely opened to reasonable offers.

I will pass along whatever anyone wants to PM me who is interested in the car.

Not to bash your friend, but he may want to run a vacuum through the interior and then post pics.

+1 Pictures speak a thousand words, or $$ in this case. Tells us all how the car has been cared for.
