a number of interested parties (one even left a deposit and walked away - lack of funds) but few seem to be able to afford it. Hence, available. Has gone thru a PPI with no issues whatsoever.

Tim, there is no written PPI available - apparently, most if not all shops in So. Florida are refusing to do written PPI reports, for liability reasons - even local dealer (The Collection). PPI was performed by a local Porsche shop and i will gladly put anyone in touch with them upon request.

CA for the Turbo
NC for the M3
TX for the X5
So pretty spread out. If I were to be buying a 993TT I would have a general inspection done but also pay for the Leak Down and Compression test. Those are services you pay for and should get a deliverable result. When i bought my 993TT out of AR I had it taken in and got a report and the numbers. It cost $350 but it was well worth it.

With a car like that - you almost have to take it at face value. Its a 993 Turbo, are you gonna buy it or not? Lol.
That said I agree - for the amount of money you are playing with vs. the time it takes, might as well put it on a lift and inspect all the bushings, brakes, look at how bad the oil leaks are - if any of them might damage something else (like a bushing). And do a leakdown / compression check on the motor. Id also read the computer for anything it might be wanting to reveal too.
But again - you don't really need an expert for any of that - nor do you need an 'official PPI'. You can drive a car and judge the overall 'condition' as long as you've driven another to compare it to. Thats the important one - drive more than one.
But I can say from the pictures and the fact he's posted his car to the uber-hypocritical rennlist forum that its probably pretty damn nice - and too much tire kicking might be offensive!!! Its a 993 Turbo man! Take it or leave it.
Awesome car!! GLWS

I guess if I am going to spend that $$ and run the risk of a 10k plus top end rebuild I can kick the tires as much as needed.
I learned from my 993TT experience that the more due diligence you do the less chance for catastrophic wallet implosion.

Why car still has not sold? i would guess the vast majority of "porschephiles" have eyes greater than their wallets, and the bank won't approve the loan, and the wife threatened divorce, and 'my other car " did not sell ... lots of tire kickers, and 2 , count them TWO forfeited deposits to-date.... Crazy world out there - lots of dreamers ... but aren't we all at one point or another? The right buyer will come along, no doubt.
