Set of Michelin Pilot Alpin Winter tires 235/40/18 F and 255/40/18 R that have been stored in the garage for the past 2 1/2 years dismounted from the wheels, the tires are about 5 years old and used very briefly for a couple of years when my Boxster used to be in CO, the rubber is still pliable and soft without any cracking. The tires have about 90% of the tread left. Looking for someone who might be interested in the tires before I toss them out to be recycled. Whoever ends up getting the tires pays for shipping.

BTW: Just went by the UPS store to get a live quote to ship to NJ, the 255/40/18 tire is about $75.00 to ship to NJ via UPS Ground, that is way too expensive, the weight of the tire is only 26lbs but the billable weight is 45lbs due to the size of the tire. BTW: Just tried to calculate the cost by pairs 26x26x24 and 52lbs for the rears according to the UPS website that is still about $97.00 to the east coast, with a billable weight of 98lbs.

The Pilot Alpin are the older tire but the dimensions and weight should be close.

And look for the 235/40/18 and 255/40/18 tires.

Hoping to find someone who lives close to the west coast (tires are in CA) NV/UT/CO/WA/OR that will make it worthwhile to ship the tires, otherwise they willl end up at the tire store to be recycled if I can't find a home for the tires in the next few days.

thanks Ken, sure beats letting them go to waste, and it's still snow season for us. kinda looking forward to summer to be honest.
