Sorry to be a contrarian...just wanted to put the question out there. Given that the engine/transmission has 100k+ miles to it without any rebuild/mods, etc., there seems to me to be an imbalance between the resources spent on the body/suspension/interior and the mechanical aspect of the car. Does anyone feel the same way and who's the buyer that would spend $45K as such. Just looking for some constructive dialogue.

DH - I think others here have more experience than me in Member Buy/Sell, but AFAIK, the etiquette here is that you don't have 'constructive dialogue' in someone For Sale thread, unless asked. Sometimes, a seller will ask for feedback on price, etc. I don't think that's the case here.
I've often found myself with similar questions as yours for other ads, and I have to restrain myself for posting in the thread. I'll either PM the seller or more often just ignore it. Another option is to have some fun dialogue outside of Rennlist, like with some friends over a beer.
Just think if the shoe was on the other foot - would you want someone posting 'constructive dialogue' in your ad thread?
Take it easy -

It's a '95 993. The "mechanical aspect of the car" should be worry-free as long as it was not abused, which this car almost surely wasn't. 100k miles is nothing for these cars.

It's all good!

If you were the only offender, I would have PM'd you. Like I said, I myslef have issues, and I figured others (besides you) do as well. We all need a reminder to be nice once in a while (at least most of us do).

BTW - awesome looking car, ABT! I always love your FS threads - always something very cool and interesting, whether wheels or cars - I still remember those VWs! GLWS on another unique and well done car!
