Just to verify, this is for 8-valve engines only ? Sure would like one of these for the 968...

I thought his ebay posted the unit would fit a 968.

I have a question, how does the new cover strength compare to the OEM unit. I know nothing about plastics so please excuse the question.

Do you have plans to have a front and back covers?

polycarb is used to make all kinds of stuff like eye glasses, safety glasses , Also very strong and can withstand temps up to 400f. I have been running one for six months in Alabama heat with no problems. The current model is for 83-86. The later cars have a small swoop over the upper balance shaft the cover does not quite cover. I have installed a couple on later 1989 model and it still looked fine.

 

i would SO BUY one for a 928.......... and i know others will too.....
