They were located near O'hare when I went to them but I think they moved to near Joilliette (sp.) since then. There are a big shop out there and do lots of car transporting and arrive and drive race support as well.
Midwest Eurosports is the full name of the shop.

Eorosport did the tranny swap. I am not sure if they serviced the tranny but I would assume so. I think I dealt with Brian there, it was a few years back. I am sure that they could help you or guide you to somone that could.

I'm in the Chicago area so I know Eurosport well. The Joliet location is at the Autobahn country club and it's their 2nd location. They still have their main shop in near O'hare.

I too made the change out of the US gearbox for an earlier year 993 (or Euro) G50/21 gearbox back in 2001. The fella Viken here on Rennlist had recommended this.... Man,,, I couldn't be happier with the gearbox change. While passing on the LWF though, the RS short shift arrangement was fitted. My 993 is solely a street car. The gear ratio's are the bomb which for my purposes tended to offset the effects of Colorado's altitude somewhat.
Jford's 993 sounds like its well sorted out ~ Good Luck With the Sale!

Good luck with your sale - youve done an amazing upgrade path.
I will pass onto a friend in Jackson NJ who is looking for his first Porsche.
Interesting story about your ride with Hoyt ... I would love to get ride in that car.
Coincidentally I am pricing a similar GD graphic on new to me white 968 DE car.

Thanks for the kind words M. Schneider, Vikken now thats a name from the past. I think he's left the 993 board, or maybe I spend too much time in OT. He along with Viperbob were two of the reasons I came to depend so much on Rennlist and gain confindence with the mechanical side of the car.
Steve I'll ad to the story in that we pulled into the parking lot at the Townehouse Motor Lodge at about 2 am after driving straight through from Chicago and doing the last 2 hours in thick fog. Pulled right next to Hoyt's car on his trailer and my jaw dropped. I said to my brother that I had to meet this guy come the morning. I had never seen any kind of cup car to that point and was amazed at my good fortune when I went looking for my instructor only to find it was him.
Would love to see pics of yoru graphics when completed.
Cheers.

stuttgardt 951... have you looked in your garage? i promise i didn't steal your car. There's a certain classic, yet enhanced 993 image that's simply PERFECT. i've found that many of us are moving in that direction. more pics to come.

Bump. Wanted to mention that I do have original seats which are almost perfect and original Cup II's which will be included with sale. Interior of car is in tact and looks great. Interior is light gray/blue. The car has a nice sounding stereo with 6 disc changer under passenger seat. I have original factory unit as well.
Stock spare tire and all tools, air compressor are also intact.
With the stock seats the car makes a great street car. A/C belt is removed but A/C blew cold last time used. Would be happy to replace belt if nec.
Thanks.

The final piece for me was the wheels - and they will be arriving late this week. We'll be twins after that. Gorgeous car, as I already told you via PM many months ago.
Free bump for Jamie. Can't believe this car made it through the weekend unsold.

The trailex barometer has been used to forcast GDP/unemployment/short term bond rates and the past 12 AFC championship games with great sucess.
Times are, indeed, tough.
