Bump - Fuchs are sold but the car is still available. Asking $15,000 obo
1983 SC Vin# WP0AA0918DS122385 / 91,416 miles. Black (paint code A1 Schwartz), black partial leather interior. Same owner since 1995 with full and comprehensive records since. New clutch kit, release fork, rear main seal, guide tube, cam cover gaskets, warm-up regulator at 74,632 miles. Documented tune-ups and oil changes really too much to list. Less than 1000 miles on Toyos with 7 & 8” BBS wheels. New front brake discs, wheel bearings, pads, and rebuilt calipers 11/07/08 less than 100 miles on them. Stock exhaust in great shape, engine sounds excellent and pulls strong. This car has extremely straight floor pans, suspension and engine. The 915 trans shifts well, clutch is smooth and chatter free. Carrera chain tensioner upgrade, pop-off valve and newly installed factory short shift kit. Carfax and clean, clear title is in hand.
The paint is excellent with minor hood specks all consistent with its age and mileage. In 2007, a small branch fell and damaged the windshield, fender and cowl. There are receipts for all the work performed. As a result, there has been some paint work but it is high quality and most importantly no accidents. Obviously, the windshield and seal is new as well.
Carfax show a mileage dscy….
- 10/20/95 78,123
- 05/28/97 70,862
I can only guess that they have a problem with the odo and changed the speedo between 95 and 97 because the speedo is dated ‘1984’ and this is of course an 83’.
The second dscy was clearly an input error on the part of the inspection station….
- 11/07/03 90,115
- 06/03/05 190,512
The odometer suffered the usual gear failure at 91,409 and I just fixed it with the replacement gear from Performance Products. So all-in-all, I account for the 7,261 mile difference from the first dscy and add it to the current mileage, give or take the less than 1k miles the PO was driving the car annually and she should still be under 100k total miles. The condition of the car is certainly in-line with the est mileage.
Again, it has had some paint work, no accidents, paint/body are very, very good.
Interior is very good with one exception, small puncture in the pass seat. Dash is original and excellent.
Floors/suspension are straight & solid.
Current issues:
There is a slight scratch on the driver’s door glass. Somehow it was contacting part of the door frame while being driven up and down…….
A/C is all there but inoperable, condenser fan (in trunk) missing.
Auto heatr control has an issue with the dial, working on it.
Tool kit missing
So, bottomline no surprises, this car is cosmetically and mechanically very good. Please ctc me with questions anytime or e-mail for more pics. I’m 3 miles from BDL Bradley International Airport, fly in and drive home. I can personally deliver within a 100 mile radius for a reasonable fee. This eliminates the need to register and get plates to get it home or taking the chance on driving home illegally.
