Not at all. Every Porsche gathering I go to I see 50%-70% of the cars are silver and black. Not everyone wants to be the same. But if it were for sale, I would want people who were interested in buying to look at it, not a bunch of naysayers' opinions that had no interest in parting with their money. Certain private dealers I have seen advertising cars at exorbitant prices are selling them to someone I am sure. There is an old car business saying, "There is an *** for every seat." Maybe the one for his seat will willingly part with $60,000 for a very low mileage car. I may be wrong, but by giving the car away, none of us benefit. I applaud the owner for trying. Maybe the open market may be a better bet.

 

I am partial but the market says the 28 911 Club Sports produced between 1986-1988 are very important. Also, RS Americas with low miles in pristine condition may not carry appreciation as seen in Ferraris but do have value in the collector market.
