No muss no fuss.

If you need an old AC compressor, I have a spare or two from 944's if you need them.

one has a broken ear (to mount it to the bracket) but worked fine before.

If you can use it, it's yours + shipping.

My dad made one from the compressor from an old refrigerator. It wasn't very efficient, but it worked - good for about 60lbs or so.

Dan,

In the name of your "green" efforts, I can offer you my hitachi air compressor for the cost of shipping. It's one of these:

http://www.tools-plus.com/hitachi-ec12.html

It runs, but the pressure switch is pooched, so it dosn't start/stop automatically (well, it does quit running once it gets the tank up to 130psi)
The problem is in the pressure unloader part of the switch, it's supposed to releave pressure on the compressor so the motor can start. I bought a new switch ($50) and while installing it, I cracked one of the threaded fittings into the casing of the switch and trashed it. I wasn't about to go spend the money for another switch, so I bought a 26 gallon craftsman upright compressor instead.
Let me know if your interested. Shipping from 48152, but I won't be able to send it out untill after 944Fest.
