Email me if the criags ad dies and I can hook you up that way as well.
1971 Porsche 914 for sale. Only 2 owners! 1st owner had it for 27 years. I’ve had it for the last 10 years, and have all records that date back to 1971!
-1.7 Liter, 4-cylinder engine
-5-speed manual transmission
-146,000 miles
-Runs great! I’ve used it recently as my daily driver!
-30 mpg hwy!
-Original blue CA license plates
-Smog exempt since it's a 1971!
-The good: almost all original, no accidents, straight body, complete records from 1971, oil changed meticulously, fantastic warm idle, lots of parts replaced, no rust in truck or in the front, starts right up, runs GREAT!
-The not-so-good: rust underneath windshield, rough cold idle (for first few mins), worn seats, sanded and ready for new paint
Some of the restoration done:
-New Sachs 911 clutch @122k
-Soft fuel lines replaced @122k
-New clutch cable @122k
-Rust around battery removed and new battery tray welded in @122k
-10-disc CD changer @123k
-New Bilstein rear shocks @125k
-New antenna @134k

Please email me if you have any questions, and i can send you many many more pictures as well. I hope it goes to a good new home. I hate to see it go, but I just bought another new car, so one has to go. No lowball offers please. $3,900. Thanks for looking!

Per my buddy Don:
"Posted it on Wed night, sold on Saturday. $3600 cash in hand. Done. Dude is a euro dealer and he's shipping it back to the Netherlands and will restore it and sell it in Germany for a pretty penny. I guess the strong Euro is helping some people's business significantly."
Wow - we had all heard of this going on. Not neccessarily with 914s, but here's a firsthand example.
