This is a very rare OEM 968 RS hood in black. It is in very good condition. As seen in the pics, one of the NACA ducts has been trimmed on the bottom side to flow more air. This is not visible from the outside. It has a clear rock guard applied to the front portion of the hood. The previous owner went racing and replaced this piece with an aftermarket hood. $850 obo.

I'm going to have to look and see if the 951 hood is the same as the 968 one. I can't change the hood on my 968 since it's ducted already and unique but those NACA ducts would look good on a black 951. Something tells me that the 968 hoods taper a lot more though.

Doesn't the 968 Turbo RS hood have hood pin holes by the NACA ducts, or were those added after manufacture? I think all the pics I have seen of Turbo RS's had them... Also, how about the center duct for the intercooler, for that matter, altho I know I have seen factory pictures of Turbo RS's that didn't have those.
Interesting piece! I am darned tempted to add this to my hood collection in the garage, including a 931 and a 951 Cup hood, which are waiting for me to put them in use. I'm sure I will be getting a 968 that I would love to put this one at some point, and will be drooling until this sells.
Regards,

Roland,
Nice piece, but I don't understand why the p/o would replace that ducted hood to go racing. I'd think that the hood was meant for racing, no?![Confused](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
BTW, is there a part number?
