Default SOLD

<RIMS ARE SOLD>

I have a very nice set of lightly used 17" HRE alloy wheels for sale that would be perfect for an extra track set on a Boxster, late 944 ('87+), 968 or 993. They are the classic HRE 540 series 3-piece forged wheels, which are very light and strong, perfectly straight and true, with no damage. The centers are painted gold and the polished outer lips are in excellent shape, with no curb rash. Offsets are 43mm on the 8s and 55mm on the 9.5s (backspacing is 6-1/8" and 7-3/8" respectively). I was going to use them on my early 911 with spacers, but they would fit better on a later car, so if someone could use them, I would let them go for $1600 for the set, plus shipping, OBO. New cost is over $3K from HRE.

Thx,
TT

Edited my ad today--I had a local buyer with a 964 test fit the wheels w/ 245F and 275R tires and found that they won't fit a 964--a smidge too much offset in the rear and not quite enough in the front. Test fit them on a late 944, though, and they would fit very well, if you ran a couple degrees negative camber in the front. They would be even better on a 968. AFAIK, they were originally made for a 993.

Still available.

After test fitting them on a 968 yesterday, the rears will work fine, but I have to say you would need to run aggressive negative camber to fit 245s on the front of the late 944/968 cars, or switch to a 225/235 tire. Here is a pic of the wheels on a street 968 w/ M030 and 0 camber--275R and 245F V710s.

Anyone still want to run 17s on their 993? Or has everyone gone to 18s?

Now on evilBay HERE.

Will include the set of used Falken Azenis RT615 tires (two 225/45-17 with 60% tread left, and two 275/40-17 with 70% tread left) mentioned in the auction as an extra FOR FREE to any Rennlister for the "Buy It Now" price, or will end the auction early for $1500 for the rims alone if you email me.

Thx,
TT

Nice looking set Tom, wish you were a little closer. Thinking freight would eat up a couple hundred to OH

In my experience, the rims alone can ship almost anywhere in the USA for $30 each, that's why I put $120 for shipping on the auction. If you wanted the tires, too, I would hold that price for a list member and eat the difference on shipping, so $1720 shipped to you with the tires, mounted and balanced, ready to go.

Let's talk, if you're interested. These have been sitting around too long and my garage is too small....

As I said above--$1500 plus $120 shipping without the rubber. That is my reserve on the auction. They really are very nice rims for that price.
