Custom Built Sub-plate for 944's
I recently sold my 86 951 and have a custom built sub-plate for sale. It comes with everything needed:
A 12" Punch Woofer (P112S4) 4Ohm, 150 watts RMS, 300 Watts Peak
An Xtreme Amp, 2-channel 300 watts
Everything is prewired and bolted to a 1/2" custom aluminum plate that fits perfectly in the spare tire well. The plate sits on rubber foam to keep the vibrations down. The plate is annodized blue.
The wiring includes quick disconnects for those serious racers going to the track. This is not for the crowd who so concerned with weight savings. The entire unit, installed, weighs in at 32 lbs. However, I had the best sound in a 951 ever. And 32lbs isn't going to kill you.
This system was designed to be concealed beneath the carpet so that it would not be stolen. In 2 years, my car was never broken into, so it works.
You can email me with any questions. I have included a few pictures, and have many more.
