Default WTB 928 steering rack tube

I just need the zinc/cadmium plated tube that the main steering shaft slides in. Mine got gouged from the inside by little shards of metal. I will buy a whole 928 core if that's what you have but I'd GREATLY prefer just the tube. Taking a rack apart is easy (i.e. 15 minutes if it's already removed from the car). I need it soon, too!

There's one on eBay from a '93 GTS with about 100K miles on it (probably had been changed sometime in that mileage).

I've heard that the 928 steering rack differs from the 78-86.5 models vs. the 87-95 models. I'm not 100% sure on this but I'd like to just go with an early rack to be safe. Thanks for the tip though.

I don't know whether you've come across it, but Stan Shaw had a core he was selling.

I found a core locally. Not the best price ever, but I didn't have to pay for shipping and I got it same day.

The job is done, the rack is in, and the car is alive again! Thanks guys.
