24k mile M96 engine from 2002 Carerra
Here's an opportunity to purchase the 3.6 liter m96 engine from my 2002 Carrera which runs perfectly. Asking $12.5k.
I purchased this car 10/2022 from Porsche Warrington with about 20,500 miles. Currently at about 23,500 miles and I am going to LS swap in April or May 2023. The engine is running flawlessly but I am just intersted in increasing torque with the swap. No record of IMS replacement so it is likely the original bearing; however you could easily upgrade while the engine is out. I topped off the oil after purchasing the car and have not had to add any oil since.
Interested buyers are welcome to come check out the car in Nashville, TN and see how the engine runs for themselves. I am willing to have any testing done at the buyers request (oil analysis, boroscope, over rev report, etc) at the buyer’s expense and at a shop of the buyer’s choosing in the Nashville, TN area.
I am still deciding where to have the swap performed between a shop in Baldwin, MD and Nashville, TN. The engine would be available once it’s pulled from my car at the start of the swap and the buyer is welcome to pick up themselves or arrange and pay for shipping. If buyer has a preference for picking up the engine in either MD or TN then that would likely influence my decision on where to have the swap performed. Buyer is also welcome to keep any ancillary parts that are not needed after the LS is swapped.
The vehicle Carfax is attached and a cold start video with VIN and mileage verified is below. Let me know if you have any questions here, arafael920@gmail.com, or (630)251-2697.

A video of how it sounds at idle when hot would also be helpful. Make sure you show the temp gauge as well. GLWS!

Hey, good thinking dporto. I'll take it for a drive and shoot a video once my interior is all back in. I'm halfway through installing PCCM+ at the moment and hoping to have it finished tomorrow.
