Default FS: Pr Cup2 Wheels 8's x 17 ET70 - Motivated Seller!!

I'm selling my Cup 2 wheels
8's ET70 x 17

For the most part there are in good condition but not perfect. You can review hte pics on your own and decide for your self.

The pics files are LARGE (3000x4000) so you can get a good look at the wheels.

If you've ever tried to find the 8 x 17 Cup 2's you know how difficult that is. I looked for over a year to find them.

I'm asking $650/BO shipped to CONUS

Do these wheels have the proper offset for a '93 928GTS?

Thanks
Steve

The 8" rears have an offset of 70, I'm quite sure. That makes them ideal for the front of a GTS. They were the OE "winter" tire for 911 rears. I have replaced the 7 1/2 inch fronts that were OE on my '94 GTS with the 8" wheels and now run 255 tires on the front. VERY balanced.

7" fronts are really TOO narrow for a 928, and their offset of 55 produces significant tramlining. The standard 9" et 55 rear for the 911 is correct for the 928 and is identical to the OE wheel on the later '94's and 95's. These are frequently available, as they were at least 10X as common as the 8" et 70 variety.

It took me a year to find my set of 17x8 ET70 cups. Very fair asking price.

I believe Cup IIs are available in the following sizes:

17 x 7 ET55 (front of 911)
17 x 7.5 ET55 (front of late 968 and 928 GTS)
17 x 8 ET70 (as Gary stated, snow wheel for 911 rear, rare)
17 x 9 ET55 (rear of 911, 968, 928 GTS)
17 x 9 ET70 (not sure what this came on, very rare)

You can also find replicas in 17x10 and in 18 inch sizes.

In checking PET it appears the 17 x 8 came in ET 70, 52 & 30. However PET doesn't show whether that's Cup 1's, Cup 2's or both

I ran 1" adapters front and 1.5" adapters rear. with the ET70 & 8" wheel I would suggest going to a 2" adapter. with the 1.5" they could have come out a bit more but I'm being picky. They worked absolutely perfectly with the 1.5"

Default Price Adjustments..... Motivated Seller!

Need to move these wheels.....

I know you 928 guys have no interest in the 7's but as previously stated in the thread the 8 x 17's are good for the front.

And that the 8 x17's are next to impossible to find.

I'm heading now to tire shop to have tires removed. So I will sell just the pair of 8 x 17 ET70. $650/BO Shipped to CONUS.

I'll post pics of each wheel when I return from tire shop.
