Great Florida Swap Meet
After a several year hiatus, Suncoast PCA will once again be holding a swap meet on March 25th, 2017.
We are honored to be holding this event at the headquarters of Alegra Motorsports, with tours of Alegra’s world renowned Porsche facility to be available during the meet.
Alegra Motorsports has a lengthy and successful racing history, including victory in the GT class at the 2007 24 Hours of Daytona and being crowned the 2010 F2000 Championship Series champion.
And, located within their headquarters is Carlos de Quesada’s private Porsche collection, previously not open to the public, and including a 1957 Porsche 550A-RS, a 1988 Porsche 959, two of only 11 Porsche Indy cars ever built, a 1990 Porsche 962, a LeMans and Sebring 12 Hour winning Porsche 996 RSR, a 1958 Porsche Type 597 Jadwagen “Hunting Car,” a Porsche tractor, Porsche go karts, firesuits signed by drivers such as Michael Schumacher and Mario Andretti and other Porsche and racing memorabilia. From personal experience, I can attest that it is stunning.
Vendor spaces for the swap meet are free, but we ask for registration on ClubRegistration.net (Alegra Motorsports SWAP MEET (VENDORS)) or by contacting Eric Rahenkamp, and request a fully refundable $100 deposit, simply so that we can lay out the vendor spaces and facilities in advance.
Bring your unused (or used) wheels, seats, tires, brake pads, engines and other parts, Porsche memorabilia, and even cars. We are also encouraging our local Porsche dealers and independent shops to set up spaces where they can advertise their services.
We also request that those planning to attend as customers/spectators register on ClubRegistration.net as well (Alegra Motorsports SWAP MEET & TOUR (ATTENDEES)) free of charge, or by contacting Eric Rahenkamp, so that we can coordinate the Alegra tours, parking and other facilities.
A food truck and ATM will be on site. Secure, overnight storage is available for vendors who wish to come to Tampa on Friday. The swap meet and tours will be from 9 AM - 4 PM, with the tours conducted on an hourly basis.
Alegra Motorsports is located at 8408 Benjamin Road in Tampa, at the northeastern quadrant of the Veterans Expressway (Exit 6A) and Waters Avenue within the Northport Business Center.
