Mid-Ohio region PCA and the Mid-Ohio Sports Car course invite you to extend your Independence Day weekend at "Red, White and Zoom", July 5-7, 2013. This is our combined National Club Race and Advanced Driver's Education (DE) weekend, now with an instructed beginners DE group on Sunday the 7th. We have secured more track time for the DE portion of the event than in recent years and have retained the services of the Mid-Ohio School Chief Driving Instructor, Todd Snyder, and Mid-Ohio School long time instructor and former Formula 1 driving sensation, Tommy Byrne, for two days of DE instruction involving driving the line at Mid-Ohio: includes classroom, track walk, corner observation, lead-follow, driving your car with you right seat, and optional video review.

There will be a fantastic meal served at the track Saturday night (and refreshments for everybody all three nights). All participants eat free, guests $25, and kids under 12 years old also eat free! To add to the kid-friendly atmosphere, we have arranged for discounted fees to the well respected Mid-Ohio School Teen Defensive Driving program which will run those same three days (see: midohioschool.com). Camping will be available on site from Thursday evening through Saturday. For the non-track rats who want to show off their four-wheeled pride and joy, we are also planning to organize a "shine and show" trackside car show over the weekend!
