Porsche Sunday Meet - Torrance, Ca
I was wondering if anyone in the Southbay would like to have some meets on Sunday mornings? I was thinking of having it in the parking lot where Sully's / Island Grinds is at. It has a big parking lot and you can get some good eats, too! Sully's is a sports bar that merged with Island Grinds (a hawaiian restaurant), so you can watch sports, drink, and have a good breakfast! hahahaa. Here's the address:
Island Grinds - Sully's Tavern
22735 Hawthorne Blvd.
Torrance, Ca 90505
I was thinking of having the first one on November 27th, 2011 at 9:30!
Let me know if anyone is interested. If not, I'll be there eating breakfast anyway!
thanks,
jason

I'm into meeting, only I'll be out of town that weekend for the holiday. There is another group that meets at Lunada Bay in Palos Verdes every Sunday (mostly Ferrari's). There is a little cafe with outside seating - just 5-10 cars show up at noon each Sunday. It's a nice drive through PV.
Also, the first Saturday of every month, about 100+ cars gather in Rolling Hills Estates at the corner of Hawthorne and Silver Spur (big parking lot between Starbucks and Burger King).
If you decide to put something together, let me know where and when.

thx for the info! I usually take a small cruise through PV every Sunday with one of my cars. Mostly just to keep the batteries charged since they just sit in the garage.
I'll try and stop by Hawthorne and Silver Spur on 12/3. I'm not sure where Lunada Bay is, though. How do you get there?

Lunada Bay Cafe is in Palos Verdes (it might be called something else). Take Palos Verdes Drive North to Palos Verdes Drive West. The Cafe is on the corner of PV Drive W. and Yarmouth. Google Lunada Bay Automotive or Moore's Market.
50/50 chance I'll be there this Sunday. Unfortunately I'm out of town the following 2 weekends. Other than that, I'm often there in a black CGT.

Hey Jason, looks like my plans have changed and I'll be in town this holiday weekend. Sunday is looking like a nice day for a drive around PV. I found the name of the cafe in PV:
St Honore French Bakery
2201 Palos Verdes Drive West, Palos Vrds Ests, CA 90274-2713
(310) 544-3100
I'll be there around noon in a black Carrera GT. Any one else in the area want to meet? PV sits between Long Beach and Redondo Beach.

Me and some of my other friends will be at the 9:30 meet. I don't know if any other Porsches will be there....especially since this is the first one I'm trying to put together and is probably a bad weekend for everyone.
Me and my friends used to have breakfast there every Sunday until our kids' schedules started getting in the way! hahhaa.....but it's a big parking lot and usually empty there, so I figured it'll be a nice place to have a meet.

Hey Mike,
It was nice meeting you! I went down to Lunada Bay around 12:40 and hung out for a while. there's some nice cars, but not enough Porsches! hahaha, we'll have to fix that.....

Probably just missed you. I left around 12:20. I'll probably be there in 2 weeks again.
meanwhile, there is a car show in Rolling Hills Estates at the corner of Hawthorne and Silver Spur (big parking lot, can't miss it). it's the first Sat of each month from 7am to 9am. This Saturday's feature is 50's muscle cars (different feature each month).
