That is one hell of a supercharger on that 928. I look forward to seeing it.

UPDATE: We are getting a lot of traffic on the website and lots of people are signing up now. I am aware of at least 5 caravans of PCA members and their cars coming out of 5 diff states. Just added more great sponsors too! Thanks everyone for your support and your help! Gotta get the word out!

Hey guys! Lots of updates...first off I want to extend a BIG thank you to PCNA for all their help. I've been in touch with all PCA regions across the country, many of them are planning to caravan down to the event together.

I am trying to get in touch with major collections of Porsche race cars. I would like to speak to the owners or curators of such collections, any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm getting my 944 Turbo S painted and the interior re done for The Mille. I will be displaying my car when its done, I cannot wait to see it done!

UPDATE! We met with Doc Bundy and he is going to be giving rides and doing exhibition laps in some of the race cars at Atlanta Motor Speedway. If anyone has not met Doc, he is an amazing person and is an outstanding driver.

Getting more and more sign ups and new sponsors!!

I've also attached the event flyer for you! Thanks for your support, this is going to be one hell of an event! Please pass the word along and get signed up! Thanks.

Another bump for this thread. We have tons of new sign ups every week. I am getting excited. I would like to urge everyone to pre-register if you can because we are expecting a crowd of people to arrive the day of the event. We will have at least 3 registration lines open to get everyone signed up in a timely fashion. CAN'T WAIT!! If anyone would like to be a volunteer, you get in for free. I need help with traffic control, concours, concours judging, aerial shots, I need a helicopter really bad for those aerial shots.

UPDATES! I got an email from PCNA this afternoon telling me that I will find out what historic race cars they are bringing to the Mille for display and exhibition laps with Doc Bundy. I will of course tell you all what Porsche is bringing out to play. I'm so excited. The World Land Speed record Porsche will also be at the Mille and will be driven around to rattle everyone's brains. We are also having tons of sponsors and vendors onsite too. I need volunteers to help with traffic control and with parking. PM me here! Thanks for your time.

This looks like it will be uh-mazing!
I am certainly going to be there. Will there be any 73 RS's there?
I will be getting in touch with a few of my friends in the Nashville area...pretty sure they will be up for this!

Default Small Correction

The World Land Speed record Porsche will also be at the Mille and will be driven around to rattle everyone's brains.
The World's fastest Porsche 928 will be there, but we will not be able to take it around the track. I will start up the 950HP 6.5L V8 and do some rod-stretching in the pits, but the car is in land speed racing trim, and driving it on the banked oval is out of the question.

It has skinny, hard, land speed tires on it, almost a ton of ballast, and all the wrong suspension. Frankly, the straights at Atlanta Motor Speedway are too short for me to even get out of 2nd gear.

But - start it up and let you all hear the motor - absolutely! Looking forward to it!

We will also have a projector in our display are running video of this car at Pikes Peak, Road America, and Bonneville Salt Flats.

Yes we figured it would be too dangerous for Carl to run the car on the oval track with speed record tires on it. Man I cannot wait to hear that car. I spent the entire day today handing out Mille flyers at Petit LeMans. PCNA even made announcements about the event. They are also going to be speaking about the Mille tomorrow at Porsche hospitality tent.
