UK - 911 Allocations and lead time 2017
I have finally made one of my dreams to come true, years of hard work and drive and desires I had put down a deposit for a 911 C43 (991.2) for a pretty much fully loaded spec.......however Porsche has disappointed me!
I had put down a deposit back in August 2016 and told I would have it delivered Jan/Feb 2017. I chose to push this to March so I can take the new 2017 plate.
I have been told few weeks ago by my local dealer that things have changed. I would not have the car until August 2017 - told by the big boys over at Porsche. This is due to a drop in releases to UK compared to previous years.
That is a 12months lead time for a 911.
What are everyone's thoughts on this, why such a big lead time? Is anyone having the same issue?
