Default Euro Drop-Off to USA Pick-up Time

I'm picking up on 9/30 and dropping off (back at Zuffenhausen) on 10/10

When will I most likely be seeing it in the USA at the dealer?

(Dealer gives me a 6-8 week approximation)

How long have others waited?

My C4GTS arrived in 5-weeks. I dropped it in Stuttgart on May 21 and it arrived in Ottawa, Canada on June 25.

8 weeks to the day to Toronto. Timing is everything...depends on when carrier is leaving from Emden

If your car is in port within roughly 10 days of the end of the quarter be prepared for it to sit in port until the quarter ends. Seriously.

It gets dropped off on Saturday Oct 10...so to port sometime between the 12-18th? So that means it doesn't get shipped from G->USA until end of Dec.? That won't be good.

But you'll be coming straight from a racetrack and I will be coming straight from a tour of some castle the wife wants to see...

Wrong end. They leave whenever the boat fills. I refer to the US port of entry. You have to wait for the quarter to end not the entire quarter and only if your car arrives in port very near the end of the quarter.

So, 6 weeks for you from 10/10 is the beginng of December. You could expect your car to arrive in Davisville Rhoad Island by then. If you are on the East Coast. If not, other ports are Brunswick, Georgia, Houston, Texas and San Diego, California.

It takes about two weeks (IIRC) for a boat to cruise from Davisville to San Diego. So, you're probably still good unless you get screwed by a labor strike at any port or Thanksgiving. If it arrives at the US POE after - say - 12/20 hope PCNA is having a tough quarter.

I was more or less expecting it last week of Nov (at best) and by Dec 15 (at worst). Car is going to the East Coast (Ohio), getting dealer prepped, then on a transport to Miami.

Thx for the info

With luck I will be smiling XMAS or sooner...
