Gotcha thanks for the info. That makes sense. Sean from PCNA ED told me that Oct dates were all full this year and he put me on the waitlist for upcoming dates.

It's a shame that Nurburgring, Spa, and the Swiss alps are on winter shut down during Nov to March. Oh well, will still make the best of it if I get ED in Nov/Dec

Is it correct that one would need to pay for the car/start car payments after car production completed per tracker but before delivery happens (i.e. before ED date is scheduled/delivery occurs)?

Yes that's how my dealer advised me

Yes. Also keep in mind that you have to pay full in cash (or some other instrument) or use Porsche financing. You cannot use financing from another source due to complications that could arise if Porsche is not able to verify that you actually paid for the car when you’re about to take delivery.

Thank you both for clarifying! And will definitely keep this in mind!

Also keep in mind that Porsche will require that you deposit a check covering the German VAT (19%) that you will get refunded once the car is on the ship. I don't know how this will be handled if you are financing the car (is it rolled into your financed amount and removed later?).

I've done several EDs and the dealer never charged me the VAT upfront. It's really just an insurance policy for them to prevent you from buying the car without VAT and then selling it over in Europe. They would be on the hook for the VAT. If they know you and you are local, they likely wont ask for the VAT up front.

I just ordered a 3RS with ED from a different dealership than my other Porsches and they didn't required the VAT either.

I am happy for your experience. It seems that it is very dealer specific. Our dealer who I have bought several Porsches from (including 3 EDs) so far always has asked for the VAT check deposit, both when they were a locally owned dealer and now as part of AN. So you are in better hands than the people in my area

Wow huge congrats! Excited for you! Just. To confirm, factory confirmed your build in January and it finished production June 4th? If so that's crazy how backed up they are since they're pushing ED pick ups 3-4 months from production completion 😅

Does anyone have confirmed ED dates for their 992.2’s? I was told Leipzig is already full for Nov and Dec so I’ll have to take Zuffenhausen.

This is good info. When did you hear back from the ED team about Zuff Nov and Dec availability?
