Default Sharing Data on shipment back process Timing Etc

I thought I would share with the forum members data from my ED shipment back home. People always ask these questions so below is my experience.

Dropped off car July 19th in Stuttgart.
Car was loaded on ship August 8th in Emden
Ship arrived August 18th in Davisville RI and was offloaded within 8 hours. Ship got back underway same day.
Released from port August 23rd.
Arrived at dealership Aug 28th.
In my hands August 29th.

Dealership was outside of Philadelphia.

21 miles put on the car between drop off and pick up at my dealership.

This is just one data point. A guy in CT had his car on the same boat as mine (not a European Delivery). It was delivered to his dealership on August 19th (next day) and in his hands August 21st. Probably due to logistics of sequencing cars on trucks for various dealerships etc.

Good gawd man... 21 F*** miles! I bet those ******* went on a joy ride. There shouldn't be more than a mile to drive up the trailer, ship, trailer to dealership

Have you seen the ports and the ship? There is a lot of sequencing.

Here is my experience;

Dropped off at Frankfurt, July 6.
Left Emden on July 22
Arrived in Halifax, August 1
Loaded on truck and shipped to Vancouver, held up in Toronto due to truck mechanical failure
Arrived in Vancouver on Aug 31
Delivered to me on Sept 1.

16 km extra on the odometer.

Total was 8 weeks and 1 day. The longest leg was Halifax to Vancouver, it it wasn't for the truck problem in Toronto, I would have probably received it a week earlier.

For delivery on the East coast, I would think 6 weeks would be a good estimate.

Dealer has to PDI the car on return, that would explain some of the mileage. Not sure on the rest. Seems to be similar to PDI miles on brand new dealer-delivered cars as well. At least for my 2 GT4s picked up stateside.
